The Sleep Membership by Whole Child Co
The Sleep Membership by Whole Child Co

Your child can sleep โ€” and sleep well. The kind of deep, restorative rest that has them waking refreshed, regulated, and changes how your whole family starts the day. And you deserve to know why they haven't been.

A root-cause sleep program for parents of 2โ€“8+ year olds โ€” built on sleep science, nervous system understanding, and the belief that there is always a reason.

Co-regulation. Understanding. No rigid schedules. No blame.

The experience behind this membership.

This isn't a generic sleep program put together from theory โ€” or the same run-of-the-mill advice you can find anywhere online. It's built from years of clinical training, hands-on practice with children and families, and a deep understanding of how the whole child โ€” body, brain, and nervous system โ€” shapes sleep.

Occupational Therapist & Orofacial
Myofunctional Therapist

I've spent years working with children and families where sleep is a daily struggle โ€” not because parents aren't trying, but because the real reasons underneath have never been identified. That's the gap this membership was built to fill.

My background spans occupational therapy, orofacial myofunctional therapy, holistic paediatric sleep, and paediatric feeding. What that means in practice is that I understand sleep from multiple angles at once โ€” the nervous system, the sensory system, the oral and airway function, and the whole child in front of me.

But I also know this from the inside. I'm a mum of three โ€” one neurodivergent child and two airway kids. I haven't just studied this; I've lived it, navigated it, and found my way through it. That lived experience shapes everything about the way this membership is put together.

This membership brings all of that together into one place, so you don't have to piece it together yourself.

The Sleep Membership by Whole Child Co โ€” Main Content

You've tried so many things.
Nothing has stuck.

You've read the books. Tried the charts. Tweaked the routine. Some nights are okay. Most aren't.

And you've started to wonder if there's something underneath all of this that you just haven't been able to get to yet.

There is. And this is how you get there.

Bedtime takes forever

The routine drags on. There are meltdowns, curtain calls, and one more cuddle requests โ€” night after night, even when you've done everything right.

You dread the evenings

What should be a peaceful wind-down turns into the most stressful part of your day. By the time they're asleep, you're too depleted to enjoy the quiet.

Night wakes and early mornings

Whether it's frequent waking or a 5am start, broken sleep is chipping away at your whole family โ€” your child's mood, wellbeing, and health, and yours.

Nothing explains it

You've been told they'll grow out of it, or to just be more consistent. But something feels off โ€” like there's a missing piece no-one has helped you find.

A calm, connected bedtime moment โ€” what's possible with the right understanding

"When a child struggles to sleep, there is always a reason. The goal isn't to push through โ€” it's to understand what's underneath."

โ€” Tash Duffin, Occupational Therapist specialising in holistic paediatric sleep and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy

A different kind of sleep program.

Most sleep advice treats bedtime as the problem. This membership treats your child as a whole person โ€” and sleep as the outcome of everything that came before it.

Built by an Occupational Therapist specialising in holistic paediatric sleep and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, the Sleep Membership by Whole Child Co goes beyond routines and reward charts to explore the real reasons children struggle to sleep โ€” and gives you a practical path forward.

Root-cause focused

We look at sleep science, nervous system regulation, sensory processing, temperament, breathing, nutrition, and environment โ€” not just bedtime patterns.

๐Ÿง

Nervous systemโ€“informed

Your child's nervous system runs the show. Understanding it changes everything โ€” from why they can't settle to why strategies that work for other kids don't work for yours.

๐Ÿ’›

Non-judgmental and practical

No blame, no shame. Every family looks different. The tools here are flexible, grounded, and designed to fit real life โ€” not an idealised version of it.

๐ŸŒฑ

Neuroaffirming

This program honours the fact that all children's brains are wired differently. Whether your child is neurotypical, neurodivergent, or somewhere in between โ€” the tools here are built to meet them exactly where they are.

A complete picture of your child's sleep.

Five in-depth modules โ€” each one building your understanding and giving you practical tools to use straight away. No fluff. No overwhelm. Just the right information, at the right depth.

Module 2

Sleep Science: Why Sleep Works the Way It Does

This is the foundation everything else builds on. You'll learn how your child's sleep cycles actually work, what melatonin, cortisol, and adenosine really do (and how to work with them โ€” not against them), and what good sleep quality looks like versus just enough hours.

You'll also learn how to spot the signs of poor sleep quality that most parents miss โ€” and why mood, emotional regulation, and learning during the day are directly connected to what's happening at night.

Module 3

The Nervous System, Temperament & Regulation

This module is a game-changer for many parents. You'll learn how your child's autonomic nervous system influences their ability to settle, why some children are "wired and tired," and why a child in sympathetic overdrive simply cannot shift into sleep โ€” no matter how tired they are.

You'll also explore sensory processing โ€” how every child has a different threshold for sensory input, and how what happens across the whole day shapes how ready their nervous system is at bedtime. Then we look at temperament and how understanding your child's wiring helps you stop working against them and start working with them. Includes the Temperament Trait Quiz and Sensory Profile Quiz โ€” two tools that help you understand your child's unique profiles and shape a sleep approach that's actually built around them.

Root Causes: What Might Really Be Going On

This is where we go deeper than any sleep guide goes. You'll explore the key areas that are often quietly driving sleep difficulties โ€” and that almost nobody talks about.

Breathing and oral function, key nutrients and their role in sleep, blood sugar regulation, and the impact of allergies, gut health, and environment. You'll come away knowing which factors might be relevant for your child โ€” and what to do next.

Sleep Solutions: Putting It All Together

Now that you understand your child's unique picture, this module gives you the practical tools to create real change. You'll work through sensory strategies tailored to your child's profile, build an evening rhythm that actually supports their nervous system, and learn how to set loving limits without losing connection.

Includes the Sensory Solutions Handout โ€” a practical, profile-matched activity guide for building a sensory-smart evening from dinner to tuck-in.

Knowledge that actually changes things.

This isn't a collection of tips to try and discard. It's a framework for understanding your child โ€” one you'll use long after bedtime settles down.

Your child's sensory profile

Know whether your child is a sensory seeker, sensitive, low registration, or somewhere in between โ€” and exactly what that means for bedtime and everyday life.

Your child's temperament type

Understand whether your child is easy-going, slow-to-warm, or highly sensitive/spirited โ€” and how their temperament shapes their nervous system's experience of sleep.

A nervous systemโ€“smart evening

Build an evening rhythm that genuinely prepares your child's body and brain for sleep โ€” from the sensory diet through the day to the tuck-in sequence that actually works.

Root causes to investigate

Know which biological factors โ€” breathing, nutrients, gut health, environment โ€” might be quietly contributing to your child's sleep difficulties, and where to go next.

Practical sensory tools

A hands-on, profile-matched bank of activities โ€” heavy work, vestibular input, breathwork, tactile strategies โ€” tailored to your child and ready to use from tonight.

Confidence as a parent

Replace guesswork and guilt with understanding. Know what's really happening for your child at bedtime โ€” and feel equipped, not helpless.

What life looks like on the other side.

This is what's possible when you understand your child's sleep at a root-cause and nervous systemโ€“informed level.

โœ“

Your child gets to be their best self. That quality sleep โ€” it shows. In the mornings that start without tears. In the afternoons that don't unravel. In the version of your child that has enough in the tank to be curious, connected, and kind.

โœ“

You understand your child's big reactions. When they're dysregulated before bed, you know what's happening in their nervous system โ€” and you know what to do about it.

โœ“

Bedtime feels different. You move through the evening with a rhythm that works โ€” not because you got lucky tonight, but because you understand why it works.

โœ“

You stop second-guessing everything. You know your child's sensory profile, their temperament, and which root causes might be relevant. That knowledge is yours โ€” and you can use it for the long haul.

โœ“

Nights become more predictable. Not perfect every night โ€” but you can see the pattern, adjust accordingly, and stop feeling like you're starting from scratch every time something changes.

โœ“

You get your evenings back. Time after bedtime that's genuinely yours again โ€” to rest, connect, or just quietly exist without dread.

A note on testimonials

A note on testimonials.

Normally this section would be full of before-and-afters. But as a registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA, professional advertising standards mean I can't publish testimonials that speak to clinical outcomes โ€” including improved sleep, behaviour changes, or results from intervention.

What I'm able to share is feedback from the workshops and webinars I've run, and from the families I've supported in 1:1 sessions โ€” and what comes up again and again isn't just what parents learned, but how it felt. To finally have a framework for their child. To sit across from someone who could see their child clearly and reflect that back to them. To walk away with clarity instead of more questions, and with the sense that someone genuinely got it.

That's the thing about understanding your child at this level โ€” it changes more than just bedtime.

Whole Child Co โ€” Sleep Membership (Bottom)

A few things parents often ask.

My child is older than 8, or younger than 2 โ€” is this still relevant for us?

A lot of the core content โ€” nervous system regulation, temperament, root causes, sensory processing โ€” is relevant regardless of age, and many parents outside the 2โ€“8 bracket find real value in it. That said, the specifics of the program are skewed toward the 2โ€“8+ age group and the particular challenges that age bracket faces. There is nothing here on awake times, night feeds, or newborn sleep, for example, and the tools and strategies are written with this age group in mind. If you're outside that range and comfortable with that, the overall framework is still genuinely useful โ€” but we want you to go in with eyes open.

We've tried a lot of things. How is this different?

Most sleep approaches focus on bedtime patterns โ€” the curtain calls, the wake-ups, the resistance. This membership focuses on the reasons underneath. Sleep science, nervous system regulation, sensory processing, breathing, nutrients, gut health โ€” these are the layers that most sleep advice never reaches. When you understand what's actually driving the difficulty, the solutions become a lot more logical (and a lot more likely to stick).

Is this a sleep training program?

No. This is not a sleep training program. The approach is nervous-system-informed and neuroaffirming โ€” which means we understand that co-regulation, connection, and felt safety are the foundation of good sleep for children. Setting loving limits is part of Module 5, but it's approached with warmth and always in the context of your child's individual needs. You won't be asked to do anything that doesn't feel right for your family.

My child is neurodivergent or has sensory processing differences. Is this relevant?

Absolutely. Neurodivergent children and children with sensory processing differences are often the ones whose sleep needs aren't met by standard advice โ€” and this membership was built with those children deeply in mind. Module 3 covers sensory processing and the sensory cup in depth, and Module 5 gives you a full bank of sensory-matched strategies. The Sensory Profile Quiz helps you understand your child's specific sensory wiring, and the tools are designed to be flexible and profile-matched.

What if I have a question that's specific to my child?

That's exactly what the fortnightly live Q&A calls are for. Twice a month you can bring your specific situation directly to Tash, and the community is also there for day-to-day questions and support. You won't be left alone with the content.

What if I can't attend the live Q&A calls?

No problem at all. You can pre-submit your questions before each Thursday call and Tash will answer them during the session โ€” so you still get a response even if you can't be there in real time. Every call is also recorded and available as a playback inside the membership so you can watch it back whenever suits you. And if something comes up between calls, you can post your question in the community anytime โ€” Tash answers questions in written format in the community every Monday.

How often are the live Q&A calls?

Every Thursday. Tash also answers questions in written format in the community every Monday, so there are two touchpoints each week where you can get direct support. You can post questions in the community anytime โ€” you don't have to wait for a call.

How much time will this take? I'm already exhausted.

Longer than you want โ€” almost always. That's the honest answer. But you're here โ€” and that first step matters more than people give it credit for.

The modules are designed to be worked through at your own pace. There's no pressure to consume everything at once. Most parents dip in and out, come back to things, and find that understanding builds gradually rather than all at once. The fortnightly Q&A calls mean you don't have to figure it out alone between sessions.

And it's worth asking the other question too: how much time โ€” and sleep, and energy, and peace โ€” will it cost to not get started?
